FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The majority of my clients are men, but if you think my style is a good fit for your therapy needs, I'm always happy to connect. Book a free consult call so we can talk more and make sure we're a good fit.
I am an out-of-network provider which means I do not accept insurance.
In some cases you may be eligible to use out-of-network insurance benefits. If you have out-of-network benefits, they often reimburse you for up to 60-80% of the cost of each session.
You will be responsible for paying for each session in full at time of appointment.
Your out-of-network benefits are usually pretty straightforward to use. Per your request, I can email you a monthly superbill (detailed receipt) which you then submit to your insurance company. Your insurance company will then mail you a check with your reimbursement.
It’s always a good idea to call the number on the back of your health insurance card listed under Member Services for more information.
You can ask them the following questions:
Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage? Am I able to use these benefits for telehealth?
What is my out-of-network deductible?
How much of my deductible has been met this year?
Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?
What percentage of outpatient psychotherapy sessions are covered per session?
How much will I be reimbursed for a 45 minute psychotherapy session (CPT code: 90834)?
How do I submit claim forms for reimbursement?
How long does it take for me to receive reimbursement?
Both, but primarily in-person.
My office is located in Phoenix, AZ in the Biltmore neighborhood.
I see clients virtually via secure online platform (SimplePractice).
I am licensed to provide in-person therapy for clients in Arizona, and online therapy for clients located in a participating PSYPACT state (check to see if you live in a qualifying state).
When I am accepting new clients for ongoing therapy or therapy intensives, you will see availability to schedule a free 20-minute consult call.
Here’s what to expect during the consult call:
I’ll ask you about what's bringing you to therapy right now
I'll ask you about what you expect of me as your therapist
I’ll tell you a bit about myself and my approach as a therapist
You can ask me any questions that I didn’t cover
If we decide we are a good fit, we'll schedule your next appointment. I'll email you intake documentation to complete online prior to your first session.
